One year later....
Time does fly.... yet my love of the arts has not diminished, hopefully it never will! This past year has been more about marketing, less production. Successfully represented by the Surrey Art Gallery Gift shop and their Art Rental Program. More recently accepted within Blackberry Artists Society in Port Moody. Work can be viewed at the gift shop in Port Moody every day between noon and 4pm. Stop by to see some beautiful art works by many talented local artists, both in Surrey and Port Moody. Accepted into Place Des Arts 'Positively Petite' show last year and invited back this year. In the studio I built floor to ceiling racking to store my work and to keep the studio organized, less art sitting on the floor stacked against the walls. Re-organized binders of information, inventory sheets and arranged my CDs in alphabetical order, of which 90% of the time I have music playing, Van Morrison, Eagles, Cold Play, Maroon 5, The Doors, Diana Krall, Sade, Mumford & Sons to list a very few. Re-booted my CV, bio and artist statement, ongoing...For these next few months plans are to review the work I produce, both the realism and abstracts, clear my head, sift my thoughts to redefine purposes in art and connect with the deep-seated convictions I carry. Note to self: have a laugh, relax, don't take it too seriously, enjoy the upcoming months of art making- take a leap of faith that new work will be elevated!
